Saying goodbye to a loved one is an emotional exception in life. In this situation, words are needed that carry – a speech that truly shows the person as they were. Not a list of dates and stations, but a life story that leaves room for both grief and joy.
As a celebrant, I take the time to get to know the person who has died as well as I possibly can. In an in-depth conversation with the family, I explore the small, fine details of a life: the special moments, character traits, passions – the things that made this person unmistakable.
The result is a personal eulogy written for this one person only. A speech, a life story, that stays in memory – one the family can return to at any time.
Alongside my work as a celebrant, I have accompanied people on their final journey for several years as a trained volunteer end-of-life companion (palliative care). This experience shapes how I work: with calm, presence and deep respect for grief in all its forms.
What I take care of: an in-depth conversation about your loved one’s personality · planning the ceremony together with you · close coordination with the funeral home · a personal eulogy that honours and reflects your loved one · guiding the ceremony from welcome to farewell, safely and warmly.
Ceremonies are available in English, German or bilingual – a comfort for international families in Berlin.
In a situation like this, timing matters. Contact me, I will respond quickly.
